As many as 356 students are set to enroll with the IIM-Bangalore’s  IIM-B for its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) against last year’s 274 marking a 30 % rise in the admissions this year. 

At a time when the National Institute of Technology – Tiruchi (NIT-T) is planning to admit 140 students through CAT examination the Ministry of Human Resource Development shot off a letter to the institute.

 Through new courses, Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) is striving to make its students aware of the ongoing recession. Besides, the premier institute is roping in corporate honchos and its alumni to ensure their exposure to the recession hit corporate world so that its graduates are prepared to face the changing times.
 

All India Management (IIM) directors unanimously rejected most of the recommendations of the IIM review committee. In a representation to the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry the institutions censured the committee headed by the chairman of the Maruti Udyog, Mr R C Bhargava.

A consensus has been reached to organize meetings of an Innovators' Club in various institutes of Ahmedabad on monthly basis. The decision has been taken at a meeting hosted by the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

Amitabh Thakur, an IPS officer of 1992-batch, wanted to pursue a course at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L). His dream has come true when the state government granted him a two-year study leave, though after an agonizing wait for more than a year.

Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchi is finally set to conduct classes from next year. The institute has selected Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) campus  in Tiruchi as its venue.

The prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) had been struggling to place five of its students till May 31. The other 77 are still waiting in the wings.

Indian Institute of Financial Management (IIFM), in a joint-venture with Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL), has announced its Mumbai campus to offer joint MBAs.
