  • Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the Class X results on Friday for Delhi. As in the case of Class XII Class X results too saw Chennai region topping the CBSE examination for the second consecutive year with an overall pass percentage of 95.6, way ahead of Delhi’s 87.70.

  • CBSE Class X results: Delhi govt schools prove a point

    Performance of the government schools in Delhi has been steadily on the rise for the past several years. This year too these schools proved their mettle registering an increase of 5.76 percent pass percentage from last year in CBSE Class X results with an excellent 89.44 per cent of students clearing the exams.

  • New colleges in Maharashtra to levy ad hoc fee

    Shikshan Shulka Samiti (fee fixation panel) has announced an ad hoc fee for the first year of the commencement of a professional college. Consequent to this announcement new engineering and medical colleges in Maharashtra that are looking forward to become functional in 2009-10 academic year cannot charge over that 40,000 for the first year BE and Rs 3 lakh for the first year MBBS course in the form of fee.

    As per a status report the government submitted to the Delhi High Court there are a total of 10,065 children studying in Director of Education run schools identified as “children with special needs”. However, there is no teacher to understand their needs.

  • The city known for its steel company in the country, Bokaro, has emerged a coaching hub Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). A total of 381 students from Bokaro, a record in itself, made it to the IIT this year cracking the most competitive entrance exam of the country, IIT-JEE .
