As many as 356 students are set to enroll with the IIM-Bangalore’s  IIM-B for its Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) against last year’s 274 marking a 30 % rise in the admissions this year.

The two-year PGP is the flagship management programme of the premier management institute. According to a press release issued by the institute, the programme will see the students reaching highest management positions of responsibility available globally.

The concept behind PGP is that specialized effort goes into the making of a business leader. A practical “application-oriented user-friendly environment” is needed to nurture them.

A week-long orientation programme will be followed by the commencement of the programme during which the institute would apprise the new batch with a perspective on management. In this context, students will be provided with an opportunity to come face to face with prominent names in the industry.

University toppers, Olympiad winners, national-level sports players and officers of the armed forces and even students with work experience constitute the batch.
