The monitoring committee assigned to probe charges against some private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu of levying capitation fees and excess fees has stumbled upon documents bearing code words during its raids on the colleges in Chennai.
 

 Tamil Nadu higher education minister Dr K Ponmudy announced status quo in the fees structure for engineering courses in the state in the year 2009-10. The colleges will charge Rs 32,500 for seats from government quota and for management quota, the amount will be Rs 65,500.
