Read more ››All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and University Grants Commission (UGC) have replaced the regulatory bodies, expressing their reservations to the proposal for establishing an (HEC) Higher Education Commission. The committee, Renovation and Rejuvenation of Universities, by ex- UGC Chairman Yash Pal, had handed over its interim report to the HRD Ministry last month. Among other recommendations, the committee had proposed setting up of a HEC, Higher Education Commission, swapping the current regulatory bodies.
