M.Sc in Food Technology to be launched by Pondicherry University

The Pondicherry University, from the next academic year, has plans to offer two new courses comprising M.Sc in Food Technology and M.A. The decision was taken at the recently held meeting at the campus.

Prof. Tareen, said, "The University Grants Commission (UGC) has promised to provide grant to 10 university departments including, history, tourism management, commerce, earth sciences, mathematics, ecology, physics, bio-technology and French under special assistance programme of the UGC."

Prof. Tareen further added, "We are intending to create an ambience for growth and development of the university to reach the goal of becoming a world-class university"

The Madanjeet Singh Institute of South Asian Regional Cooperation is likely to be set up by the South Asia Foundation at the university campus this year, which is going to act as a hub for activities of South Asian Regional Cooperation.
