The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram has released an admission notification inviting eligible, interested candidates to apply for its four-year Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and five-year dual degree (BTech MS/MTech) programmes for the academic session 2017.
The five-year dual degree programme leads to a BTech degree in engineering physics and any of the following post-graduate degree specialisations:
- MS (Astronomy and Astrophysics)
- MS (Earth System Science)
- MS (Solid State Physics)
- MTech (Optical Engineering)
(There is no exit option at the end of four years).
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Those interested in applying should have secured at least 75 per cent aggregate marks in the class 12 (or equivalent) board examination. The aggregate marks for SC, ST and PD candidates should be at least 65 per cent.
Selection Procedure
The candidates will be selected on the basis of the Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2017 conducted by CBSE.
