University of Lucknow has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates for admission to Master of Philosophy (MPhil) programme offered in Archaeology, Anthropology, English, Hindi, Physical Education, Public Administration, Sanskrit, Social Work and Sociology for the academic session 2016.
All the eligible candidates are requested to apply through prescribed format latest by October 25.

All the candidates interested in applying for this course need to possess a Master's degree or a professional degree with at least 55 per cent in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale from a recognised university/institute.

Selection procedure:
All the candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in entrance examination.
The entrance test would be of 90 minutes duration. There would be a single question paper of 100 marks having 100 multiple choice questions for assessing the subject proficiency and research aptitude of the candidate.
Candidates need to score minimum 50 per cent to clear the examination.
