Manipal University admissions 2017

Manipal University (MU)  has released an admission notification inviting applications from interested, eligible candidates to apply for its Bachelor of Technology (BTech), Master of Technology (MTech), BTech lateral entry, Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Executive Master of Architecture (MArch) in various specialisations for the academic session 2017.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification:

BTech programme: The candidates interested in applying for this programme must have passed in class 12, A Level, IB, American grade 12 or equivalent with physics, mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with chemistry or biotechnology or biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects with a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

BTech programme (lateral): Candidates interested in applying for this programme must be holding a degree from a recognised university with at least 45 per cent marks and passed in class 12 with mathematics as a subject.

MTech programme: Candidates interested in applying for this programme must have pursued  BTech or its equivalent from a recognised university.

BArch programme: Candidates interested in applying for this programme must be holding a minimum of 40 per cent marks in the All India National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA) and must have passed any one of the following courses with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

ME programme: Candidates interested in applying for this programme must have passed BE/BTech or equivalent in engineering with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate.

Selection procedure:

BTech and MTech: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test.

BArch: The candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and the NATA score conducted by Council of Architecture (CoA).

MArch: Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and there is no entrance test.

Last date for receiving an application for BTech programme is March 11, 2017.

Last date for receiving an application for MTech programme is May 11, 2017.

Last date for receiving an application for BTech lateral entry programme is May 15, 2017.

Last date for receiving an application for BArch programme is May 31, 2017.

Last date for receiving an application for MArch programme is July 24, 2017.
