The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Mandi has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates for admission to Master of Science (MS) by research and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme offered in various departments for the semester commencing in 2017.
All the interested candidates can apply through a prescribed format latest by October 23, 2016.

All the candidates interested in applying for this course need to possess a degree in the Master of Engineering (ME)/Master of Technology (MTech) or a Master's degree by Research in engineering/technology with a good academic record with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of minimum 8.0 on the scale of 10 from a recognised university.
Also, candidates should have with a valid Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering (GATE) score or equivalent.
MS programme:
All the candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or Master's degree in appropriate sciences including social sciences from a recognised university/institute.
Candidate must have a valid score in GATE/ NET or equivalent national level examination or Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)/ Graduate Record Examination (GRE) in an appropriate discipline.

Selection procedure:
Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of an entrance test/ interview conducted by the university.
