Vellore Institute of Technology University (VIT)-Vellore has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates for admission to Master of Technology (MTech) program (by research), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in various subjects offered at Chennai and Vellore campuses for the session commencing academic session.
All the interested candidates are requested to apply through prescribed format latest by November 30.
Eligibility criteria:
Educational qualification:
MTech (by Research) programme: All the candidates interested in applying for this course need to possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master's degree in Computer Applications (with Physics and Mathematics at Bachelor's level) with minimum 60 per cent or equivalent CGPA from a recognised university/institute.
MPhil programme: All the candidates interested in applying for this course need to possess a Master's degree in a relevant subject with minimum 60 per cent from a recognised university/institute.
PhD programme in Sciences / Humanities / Languages: All the candidates interested in applying for this course need to possess a Master's degree in Sciences/Humanities / Social Sciences / Languages with minimum 60 per cent from a recognised university/institute.
Selection procedure:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of their previous academic performance and the performance in the test and interview by the university.
Application fee:
All the candidates need to pay Rs 950 for each application form.
