GATE admission 2017: 

The online application for the prestigious Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2017 (GATE 2017) started on  September 1. The exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.

GATE 2017 will be online mode and is scheduled to be held on February 4 – 5, 2017 and February 11 – 12, 2017. The last date to submit the form is October 4.

The aspiring candidates can check the same from the official website of GATE,http://www.gate.iitr.ernet.in. GATE is conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for MTech, ME and direct PhD in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Science programmes at educational institutions across the country.

The validity of GATE 2017 score shall be for three years. The GATE 2017 shall also be held for candidates in other countries such as, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In addition, this year Gorakhpur has been added as a centre. Some Public Service Undertakings take note of the GATE score of candidates for their annual recruitment processes as well.

Fees:
The application fee is Rs 750 for women aspirants, Rs 750 for SC/ST/PwD category candidates and Rs 1500 for all other candidates.
For International candidates application fee is $50.
Note: The application fee once submitted shall not be refunded.

End/Last date of GOAPS enrollment and application process: October 4, 2016
Last date for request for change in choice of examination city via GOAPS login:November 16, 2016
GATE 2017 Admit card download: January 5, 2017
Results of GATE 2017 to be announced: March 27, 2017
