Admission to Rashtriya Indian Military College

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) is inviting applications from boys for admission to the military college in Dehradun.

A statement from Virudhunagar Collector, A. Sivagnanam, said that boys who were born between July 2, 2004 and January 1, 2006, and pursuing or have passed 7th standard, were eligible for admission to the college that would prepare them for entry into Defence Services. The written test for English would be held on December 1, at 10 a.m., Mathematics on the same day at 2 p.m. The test for general knowledge would be held at 10 a.m. on December 2. The eligibility for admission is a minimum of 50 per cent mark in the entrance test.

Interview would be held on April 10, 2017 and the venue would be intimated to the eligible students in March 2017, the statement said. Those who get through the interview would have to undergo medical test in any one of the Military hospitals. Meritorious students would be given scholarship of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000. Interested candidates can get the prospectus-cum-application forms by Speed Post sending a written request with an account payee demand draft (Rs. 505 for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Rs. 550 for others) drawn in favour of: The Commandant, RIMC, Dehradun, Drawee Branch, State Bank of India, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun (Bank Code-01576), Uttarkhand, along with hand-written application. Only those application forms got from RIMC would be valid and those photocopied or printed would not be accepted. The filled-in application forms should be sent to the Controller of Examinations, TNPSC, Chennai - 600003 by September 30, 2016
