'Wall of Heroes', JNU will organize a function on May 16th 2017. The 'Wall of heroes' will be in the honor of the martyrs and inauguration function will be held at the Convention center of the University between 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm.'Wall of valor ' is campaign which is jointly launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar and Minister of State for Defence Dr. Subhash Bhamre to honor and create a spirit of respect for the real heroes of the nation.
'Wall of valor ' was launched in 1000 educational institutions across the nation on May 2. The 'Wall of Heroes' will have portraits of Param Vir Chakra (PVC) decorated soldier, which will help in instilling the sense of nationalism among the youth of today. All this is a part of nationwide 'Vidya Veerta Abhiyan', which was initiated by the former BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha Member Tarun Vijay.
