TRS Government has introduced innovative schemes to students: Praveen Kumar

The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREI) secretary and IPS officer R S Praveen Kumar opined that the TRS-led government was reforming education by introducing innovative schemes.

He inaugurated Ambedkar Vignana Kendram, a library set up on the premises of a school by alumni of the educational institutions promoted by the society, at Kasipet mandal centre on Sunday. He was joined by Mancherial Collector R V Karnan and Ramagundam Commissioner of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal.

Praveen Kumar asserted that the State government was giving paramount importance to provide education to weaker sections by allocating a huge chunk of funds every year. A sum of Rs 15,000 crore has been earmarked towards starting residential schools. Similarly, Rs 20 crore is utilised on each English medium school. This means Rs 1.20 lakh is being spent on each student. No State in the country is concerned as much as Telangana is, he informed.

The secretary suggested students to utilise educational opportunities created by the government. He told them to teach basics of literacy to others. He stated that the pupils of social welfare residential schools were shining on the international arena. He complimented former students of the society for coming forward to establish the knowledge centre for the benefit of the school children.
