ISKCON will be holding vedic contest for school kids

ISKCON Noida is organising an inter-school competition titled 'Vedic Wisdom Contest' at the temple complex in Sector 33 from Jan 18-19. Nearly 500 students from about 30 schools of Noida, Greater Noida, Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad and Delhi will participate in the competition. These include Vishwa Bharti School, Ralli International, Arwachin School Bharti Public, Kerala Education Society  Amity International, Father Agnel, Khaitan Marigold, Lotus Valley (Noida) etc.

Organised by Bhaktivedanta Academy of ISKCON Noida, the festival in its 13th year is touted as a festival of learning, creativity, performing, music and entertainment for the students. 'The aim of this event is to imbibe rich values, cultural knowledge and vedic wisdom in the children,' said Vamsidhar Dasco-president, Bhaktivedanta Academy.

The students that'll be in two age groups i.e. junior and senior, will participate in a variety of events like creative hands, quiz, writing skills, advanced extempore, shloka recitations and singing etc. 'The idea behind the contest is the desire of Srila Prabhupada, founder acharya of ISKCON, to spread the universal teachings of Bhagavad Gita especially amongst the children,' said Buddhimanta Dasa, director, Bhaktivedanta Academy.

On the occasion, winners will be awarded trophies and prizes along with certificates of participation.
