NIT MCA Exam to be held on May 28, 2017

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur has released the NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET-2017), examination dates on the official website at www.nitdgp.ac.in. According to schedule, the examination will be held Sunday, May 28. NIMCET is conducted for taking admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme offered in NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the session 2017-18.

The last date for receipt of printout of electronically filled application form will be March 31. The admit card will be available on the official website May 16, 2017. The NIMCET exam will be held on May 28, 2017. All the candidates interested in applying need to possess a degree Bachelor of Science (BSc)/Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)/BIT from a recognised university/institute with at least 60 per cent in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale. 

The duration of NIMCET-2017 examination will be two hours. Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply and the candidates can check the official notification available at nitdgp.ac.in .The NIMCET-2017 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects. 

Aspirants are required to note that multiple choice questions will be written in English language only. All rough work is to be done in the test booklet only. All  the candidates need to pay Rs 2000 for each application form.The NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs ,for admission in to their MCA programme. The MCA prgoramme is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal .The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2017-18 is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2017 only.
