The notification for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by Delhi University (DU) will be announced soon. The procedure for the session 2017-18 was hesitantly scheduled to start from the end of March 2017.

Delhi University usually begins its admissions after the CBSE board exams are over. More than 3 lakh students applied for various courses offered by the 77 colleges affiliated to the Delhi University in 2016.

Delhi University is one of the most prestigious universities in the country and six of its colleges also got listed in the top ten colleges of NIRF India Ranking 2017.

The application method for DU will be conducted in an online mode. Students who wish to apply will not have to visit the university campus as forms can be filled online from any part of the country.

Admissions to Delhi University are either done on the basis of merit/cutoff lists released by the university or on the basis of entrance exams.

Admission to programmes like B. Tech, BA (Hons.) Economics, BBA - FIA, BMS, BBS, etc. is done on the basis of an entrance exam. In order to appear for these entrance exams, it is important to secure the minimum percentage in 10+2 exams set by the university.

Students passing 10+2 from a board that is not affiliated to the AIU, UGC or MHRD, will be admitted on the basis of a separate merit list announced by the university. A unique grade point conversion mechanism is applied by the University for such cases.
