Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has declared the class 10 annual board exam result today. The result was officially announced by the State Education Minister and Board Chairman in a press conference. Close to 18 lakh students had appeared for the exam this year. As of now, the official website biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and bsebssresult.com/bseb are not responding. Alternatively students can check their result at indiaresults.com. India results was the official result hosting partner of the Board till class 12 result, this year. Regional daily Live Hindustan will also host the class 10 result of Bihar board.
Bihar Board 10th Result 2018: Important Updates
The results was uploaded on board’s official website biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in and biharboardonline.in
The first, second and third toppers will get Rs 1 lakh, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively along with a laptop, an e-book and stationeries. The students obtaining fourth to tenth positions in class X will get Rs 10,000 and a laptop each
Education minister Kriahnanandan Prasad Verma said that the results have shown the girls empowerment and the hard work of CM Nitish Kumar who constantly stressed on girl's education. He congratulated the top rank holders.
The results improved due to several intiative taken by the board including 50% objective questions in board exam from this year, said Anand Kishor, chairman
Total 448 candidates barred from the examination for malpractices and 93 examinees were caught for writing papers for the other. To stop malpractices in exam, the board had asked the candidates not to wear shoes and socks at the exam centres.
A total of 23 students secured top 10 position out of which 16 were from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya Jamui
Anu Priya Kumari, who got 452 out of 500, ranked third.
Pragya and Shikha Kumari both ranked second with 454 marks each.
Prerna Raj from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, ranked first with a total of 457 marks out of 500.
Out of 17.58 lakh students who appeared for the matric exam, a total of 12,11,617 students have cleared the exam
This year's overall pass percentage is 68.89%
Last year, the overall pass percentage was 50.12%

The principal secretary, education department, R K Mahajan and president of Bihar School Examination Board Anand Kishore will be present.
The results will be declared by Bihar education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma
The Class 10 results will be announced at Board's Committee Hall
Result will be available on the official website of the BSEB Board
